Yeah, I'm starting to think maybe I shouldn't have been so hasty giving my voice-activated, hand-held recorder to my last guitar student, so she could practice with it. That was so cool, and tiny, it fit in the palm of my hand---about $20 at K-Mart. My best stuff is when I'm dropping off to sleep, when the brain warriors are laying down sleepy on their nap rugs (they still kept them after kindergarten) and let my right side loose.
Unfortunately, our K-Mart folded, and so did all the cool stuff for cool prices. Now we have to wait for our annual stocking up trip to Anchorage.
I mumble stuff to my dog late at night but she's terrible at transcription.

Or start walking around with a tape recorder.

Yes, I am at my wittiest and I am most creative while I am driving my car, or in the shower, or at the grocery store... etc... Lots of fodder for conversation at stores, and driving along the highway! A good idea is probably carrying a little personal digital recorder to dictate thoughts while they're fresh... hehe, just another gadget to add to the dark recesses of my purse! ;-)
