Tech OverloadFuture Computing
Just about everyone is linking to the "Home Computer 2004" picture from 1954. I have two questions.
- Does the guy in the bad suit come with?
- What is the steering wheel for?
My guess is that they correctly predicted the "Grand Theft Auto" series of games they just didn't predict the joystick.
Update: Scoble now identifies the photo as a hoax. I don't really care. I was there (in 1954) and that is exactly what they would have shown as the home computer of the future. They were big on future then. It was a time when men mowed the grass wearing a tie. Now there is no future, only deficits.
Robert your crediblity has not been harmed, but mine may be shot to hell.

It's a hoax? It looks like our NOC/Helpdesk Starship. We don't have the wheel yet. Guess they were ahead of their time.
