Apparently there are something like 14.2 million blogs out there with the number doubling every other Friday or at least on days ending in "Y". Having a top 100 list is pretty much worthless in today's internet. Having a top 500 is no better an maybe worse. I'm 19,734 on Technorati's list and proud of it. I don't blog for a ranking, I blog because I like to.

This post has nothing at all to do with the fact that I have 30 inbound blog links and I'm not on Blogrolling's top 500. Really, it's not. Because, in a list of 14 million the difference between 100 and 19,000 is less than the difference in the change in the price of gas over the last two days.
