Boring Life StuffFall The Sudden Season

October 06, 2005

The day's high temperature dropped thirty degrees in twenty four hours. The clouds, while dense, have no height as there is no warm air to make them soar. Trees green with the warm yesterday breeze turn yellow today. The evening sun now sets in the southwest where it was high in the northwest what seems like a day or two ago.

Fall is the season that takes no time to get here; the sudden season. Winter takes forever as we wait through days of near freezing before the snows fall. It takes time for the spring to warm the ground and coax the trees to give forth leaves. Summer days are long and green and beautiful and then overnight it is once again fall.

Fall is my most favorite time of year.

Funny, it is also my age now, seasonally speaking .

Time to celebrate, no?
