I've only begun watching Stargate SG1 now that Ben Browder joined the cast this season. So can someone tell me why a race of aliens can build ships capable of traveling through hyper-space but doesn't have the technology to light the inside of the craft with anything but open flames? You would think they would at least have glowing walls or something.
