Weird WebStuffWhere's Slobodan
Watching my RSS news feeds over the last day or two has taken on a where's waldoish mind warp as the news is all about the where abouts of Slobodan Milosevic's body. It's on its way to the airport, its leaving the Netherlands, its landing in Serbia, its heading for the family grounds in Pozarevac, 80 km (50 miles) east of Belgrade. It's been a slow news week.

Slobodan is the speed limit on the road to Abu Graib Highway. Which, by the way, is being renamed soon, in honor of the 3rd anniversary of King George's Crusade to Enrich Certain Wyomingians With Guns. It will be named Dubya Road.
The potholes on this road are very cruel. Even worse are the sleeping policement. They can pull you over, incarcerate you, hold you without charges, deny you a lawyer, tap your phone, search your house (they already searched the car back at teh beginning of this sentence), and tll you that this is all for the good of the country and to protect the citizenry from terrorists and gay people in love.
A Texan has to know his enemies. And then he can wage war. And, as George Costanza might have put it had he taken the job instead of Colin Powell back in the days of Dubya One, if you believe it is for the good of the republic, then it isn't really torture.
