Boring Life StuffBagged

November 29, 2007

The grocery stores we frequent at Nodeds North and South have started selling grocery bags. Before you get the wrong impression they are not charging for those flimsy plastic bags or even for the paper grocery bags. The stores have come out with reusable canvas bags. Up here at Noded North the bags are $1 each which is not a bad price. They are sturdy bags with handles. They are a little larger than plastic bags and are strong enough carry a gallon of milk.

Mrs. Noded and I have started using the bags because they make green sense. As long as you remember to take them with they should last long enough to save a paper tree or at least a plastic bush.

These new bags are also branded with the logo of the grocery store selling them. So then next question is if you would use your Company A bags when shopping at Company B? Will there be guilt involved? Or do you have sets for each of the stores so you don't create a grocery store faux pas

kinda reminds me of when I was consulting at McDonalds corporate and came back from lunch with a Burger King cup (without thinking)... :)
