PhotoshopFollowing the System

December 2, 2007

I've mentioned the Scott Kelby's 7 Point System for Photoshop CS3. I thought I'd revisit an image I took last summer in Seattle and give you the before and after images to give you a sense of what you can do with the adjustments in Camera Raw backed up by a little work in Photoshop CS3. You can click on the images to see larger versions.

Most of the work was done in Camera Raw. After Raw adjustments I opened the image in Photoshop as as smart object. I made a copy of the smart object and re-edited it in Camera Raw and completely changed the adjustments allowing me to pop the sign. I use a layer mask to push the first layer through the second except for the sign. It's a nice workflow.
