One of the advantages of being self employed is always having permission to go to interesting conferences. The disadvantage of being self-employed is that you don't make actual money when you go to interesting conferences. I'm not going to eTech this year. No reason other than the money in my pocket not going as far as San Diego and it's $300 a night hotel rooms.

This gives me a chance to go to another conference that I wanted to attend but because of the scheduled proximity to eTech never was able to schedule. I've just signed up for the Freedom to Connect conference run by David Isenberg. Today is the last day for early bird registration where you can save some 20% on admission.
