Common SenseI'll Get Back To You In A Couple Of Weeks.
This year's election will probably go down at the "Heartbeat" election. With much being made of the viability of the two candidates Vice Presidential running mates ability to swiftly take over the reigns of power if something should happen to the newly elected President.
On one side of the election you have a candidate that appears not ready to meet the press any time soon [Link] who is in an intense training session on foreign policy with a Senator that has turned his back on everything he once espoused. Now imagine the unimaginable where we actually lose the President. Can you imaging wanting to wait two weeks while your new President gets coached on what to say and do it that moment of crisis? I would guess not. I would guess that the new President would not be running the country but mouthing the words of people you did not vote for.
This is not something that I would want for my country.
The McCain campaign is literally going to try to sell Sarah Palin as a credible president without letting the press talk to her. For example, this Sunday, Barack Obama will appear on This Week with George Stephanopoulos, John McCain with be on Face the Nation, and Joe Biden will be on Meet the Press. Sarah Palin will be reading briefing papers in Alaska. [Link]
