I finally saw the movie Avatar. We still had the 3D version playing in the neighborhood so we got to see the full package. I keep hoping that the 3D glasses will work for those of use with less than perfect eyesight. It still doesn't. Like I've said before one of these days you will be able to buy prescription 3D glasses or better yet 3D movies that don't need special glasses.

I did like the movie. I found the transformation of Sigorney Weaver from chain smoking grumpy person to hero a pleasant surprise. I did get confused by some of the characters during the movie and the chief bad guy was a bit too much of a characher out of Stargate Atlantis. All in al it was a story well told and with stunning graphics. The DVD comes out on April 22nd but I would suggest seeing it on the big screen while it's still being shown
