I think I've mentioned the Retronaut website before. Today I rediscovered Jacques Henri Lartigue on that website. I've often seen the first image the car racing faster than the early camera shutter could handle.

What I had not caught was the motion in a number of his images. In an age where the bulk of the photographers were capturing a still setting Lartique was joyfully capturing the motion of people and animals. Wonderful capture of life being lived. Time to think about all the staid pictures I've been shooting.
