Engine (Vette)

This is the engine of the 1956 Corvette from yesterday. I'm pretty sure it's the 260ci V8 that Chevrolet had back then. Had not realized that Chevy was actually putting it in the Corvette. At the bottom of the engine is an actual generator. Generators predate todays modern alternator. At the back of the generator is the gear housing and cable for the tachometer.
