Osprey Ridge

I finally got my chance to play Osprey Ridge Golf Course at Walt Disney World. Everyone who works for Disney and plays golf that I asked has said that Osprey Ridge is their favorite course. Now that I played it I think I have to agree.

The course starts out with a few rather easy holes that lull you in to a sense of it being an easy course. Then you get to the par 5 eight hole. This hole is the number one handicap hole. I've always admired the eight hole at the Magnolia Course also at Walt Disney World. The eight at Osprey Ridge is just plain hard.

For being a course in the very flat state of Florida, Osprey Ridge has a lot of elevation change. There were a couple of holes that have great views down the fairway from elevated tees. I highly recommend this course.

There are 4 sets of tees with the men's tees reaching from 5900 to 6900 yards. There are a number of very large greens with multiple tiers making putting a challenge.

Disney (Again)

Spending the weekend at Walt Disney World. The now have wifi in the rooms but I think I'd rather be enjoying the parks than sitting here posting to Noded. Check here for an a picture or two from the parks.

Afternoon Clouds (Florida)

If you want to find out if your camera sensor is dirty take a picture of the sky. All the lint and cookie crumbs will show up. Use Lightroom to do spot removal then think about cleaning the sensor.

May Moon

The Moon near perigee. Some call it a super moon but I think the moon is pretty super any night. It tugs at all our heart strings.

Cool Bird

Still playing with Paper. What a simplistic application that makes for such fun. I'm not that good so go here to see what others are doing with the app.

The trick to this app seems to be that the tools work differently depending on pressure and speed. Love it.

Stuff Why Not Edition

GPS Stuff: why doesn't Gps Units come with weather radar? It would seem that since the Gps knows where you are that it should be able to tie into a weather network to display a color weather map.
More GPS Stuff: on golf course GPS it would be really nice if it could factor in wind speed and direction to tell you when you need an extra club
iPad Stuff: While I do like my iPads I am beginning to think that a MacBook Air might be more of what I need when sitting on the couch etc. I miss the keyboard more than the touch screen. I wrote this on my iPad.
